Magnificent Japanese Lacquered Kake Edo Period
A beautiful original Japanese Kake uruchi lacquered.
In Japan it is a centuries-old tradition to present your swords when they are at rest on a sword rack and this is called a kake.
This is a special specimen, decorated in gold and silver powder and lacquered.
The details are therefore special and very fine, this is painted by hand.
Often it is a story or an era, a kind of painting.
This magnificent Kake is very rare and hard to find it has nice details presenting your 6 swords on this one is outstanding.
After the swords have been used and cleaned and oiled they lie at rest on such a Kake.
Many of the kake are small works of art in themselves with an eye for detail.
Of course it has signs of wear, which cannot be avoided and should also be the case please accept.
This is an antique kake and is therefore subject to the test of time and will therefore be visible in some places.
