A fine Edo-period iron tsuba signed by Umetada Shigeyoshi, resident of Nishijin, Yamashiro Province.
The design features an elegant diamond branch with plum blossoms, showcasing the refined workmanship for which the Umetada school is celebrated. The iron surface reflects light subtly, giving a white appearance in photographs, though in hand it reveals the deep, rich texture of well-forged iron.

This piece is accompanied by a paulownia wood storage box and has been certified with NBTHK Hozon papers, attesting to its authenticity and historical importance.
